92 Rangiora, 912, 913 Woodend Shuttles – From 16th May until 18th May buses will be detouring in Rangiora as a new roundabout is being constructed. Buses travelling in both directions will detour off King Street via George Street and Church Street onto High Street to resume their normal routes. During this time temporary bus stops will be available on George St and High Street.

28 Lyttelton and Rapaki – From Monday 14 May until approx Wednesday 16 May buses travelling towards Lyttelton will not be able to turn down Garlands Rd. Instead buses will continue to travel down Aynsley Tce turning left onto Grange St and right onto Opawa Rd to continue their normal route. During this time bus stops 41039 and 41073 will be closed. Temporary bus stops will be available on Opawa Rd south of the Grange St intersection

28 Lyttelton and Rapaki – From Monday 7th May until approx Monday 28th May all buses will detour away from Simeon Quay. Buses travelling towards the city will detour off Brittan Tce onto Voelas Rd and Godley Quay back onto Simeon Quay to continue their normal route. Buses travelling towards Rapaki will detour off Simeon Quay onto Godley Quay, Voelas Rd and Brittan Tce then resume their normal route. The bus stop at 7A Brittan Tce will be relocated to 11 Brittan Tce and the bus stop at 5 Brittan Tce will also be relocated to 8 Voelas Rd during this time.

5 Hornby – The detour in the South Brighton area for buses travelling towards Southshore has changed again. Buses will now detour off Estuary Rd onto Bellamy Ave, Pine Ave and Sandra St before turning back onto Estuary Rd and continuing the normal route. A temporary bus stop is available on Bridge St. Buses travelling towards the city are not affected.

88 Rolleston – Buses will be detouring  in Rolleston from 10.30am until 12.15pm on ANZAC Day. Buses travelling in both directions will detour via Tennyson St, Michaelangelo Dr and Rembrant Dr back onto Rolleston Dr then continue their normal routes.

820 Burnham to Lincoln via Rolleston – Buses will be detouring  in Rolleston from 10.30am until 12.15pm on ANZAC Day. Buses travelling in both directions will detour via Tennyson St, Michaelangelo Dr and Rembrant Dr back onto Rolleston Dr then continue their normal routes.

8 Casebrook to Hoon Hay – Buses will be detouring  in Halswell from 10.30am until 12.15pm on ANZAC Day. Buses travelling  will detour in both directions via Halswell Rd, Lillian St, Wales St, Oakridge St, Nicholls Rd and Halswell Rd to loop back around to Nicholls Rd again.

18 St Albans to Huntsbury – Due to wastewater pipe replacement on Rutland St buses will detour in both directions from 23rd April until approximately the end of July. Buses travelling towards the city centre will detour off Rutland St onto Innes Rd, Browns Rd and Hawkesbury Ave back onto Somme St then continue their normal route. Buses travelling towards St Albans will detour off Somme St onto Hawkesbury Ave, Browns Rd and Innes Rd back onto Rutland St then continue their normal route. The bus stops outside and opposite 77 Rutland St will be temporarily relocated and placed on Rutland St just north of the corner of Innes Rd and Rutland St.

Update 18th April

Orbiter – Due to Clarence St closing at night from 7pm until 4am Orbiters travelling towards Westfield Shopping Centre will detour at night until approx 30th April. They will detour off Clarence St onto Peverel St and Picton St back onto Riccarton Rd. The two bus stops on the left hand side of the road on Clarence St will not be serviced during this time. Orbiters travelling towards Barrington will not be affected.

14 Harewood to Dyers Pass – Due to road works in the city buses travelling towards Harewood are detouring off Colombo St onto Bealey Ave, Sherborne St and Canon St back onto Colombo St until approximately Tuesday 24th April. Buses travelling in the opposite direction will not be affected.

Update 17th April

Orbiter – From 23 April until approx 20 July Centaurus Rd will be closed between Holliss Ave and Landsdowne Terrace due to sewer replacement works. During this time buses will detour off Centaurus Rd in both directions via Holliss Avenue, Gunns Crescent, and Landsdowne Terrace.

The bus stop on the Northern side of Centaurus Rd near Sloan Terrace will be closed. Passengers who normally use this stop should catch the Orbiter from the existing stop on the western side of Landsdowne Terrace instead.

60 Parklands, Orbiter – Due to sewer line installations from Monday 30th April until approx 7 May buses will detour in both directions off North Parade onto Randall St and Chrystal St back onto North Avon Rd. During this time the bus stop at 42 North Parade will not be serviced and a temporary bus stop will be available at 36 Chrystal Street.

5 Hornby – The detour in the South Brighton area for buses travelling towards Southshore has changed. Buses will now detour off Estuary Rd onto Bridge St, Marine Parade, Sturdee St, Pine Ave and Sandra St before turning back onto Estuary Rd and continuing the normal route. A temporary bus stop is available on Bridge St. Buses travelling towards the city are not affected.

Update 5th April

Metrostar – Due to ongoing road works in Edgeware all buses will detour away from the affected area from 10th April until 24th August. Buses travelling towards Halswell will travel their normal route until Barbadoes St. They will then detour onto Canon St and Sherborne St back onto Edgeware Rd. Buses travelling towards New Brighton will travel their normal route until Edgeware Rd. They will then detour onto Sherborne St and Canon St back onto Barbadoes St and continue their normal route. The bus stop outside 186 Edgeware Rd will be closed and passengers should wait for the bus at the bus stop outside 574 Barbadoes St. Also the temporary stop currently located at 12 Edgeware Rd will be moved to Canon St – near the intersection of Bishop St. Due to the magnitude of these road works please expect delays on these buses.

Metrostar – From Monday 2nd April all Metrostar buses will detour away from Keyes Rd for approximately 6 months. All buses will detour off Hawke St onto New Brighton Rd, Baker St and Bowhill Rd onto Rookwood Ave where they will continue their normal route. View where the temporary stops (pdf 226 kB) will be in place during this time.

Update 26th March

60 Parklands – From 26th March until approx 4th April 60 Parklands buses will be delayed during the day on North Parade due to Sewer repairs. Between 6pm and 6am buses travelling towards the city centre will detour off Shirley Rd onto Warden St, Petrie St and Averill St back onto North Parade. Also between 6pm and 6am the bus stop on North Parade between Shirley Rd and Averill St will be closed and passengers will need to walk down to the next bus stop after Averill St to get on board a bus.

Orbiter – From 26th March until approx 4th April Orbiters will be delayed during the day on North Parade due to Sewer repairs. Between 6pm and 6am buses travelling towards Eastgate will detour off Shirley Rd onto Warden St, Petrie St and Averill St back onto North Parade. Also between 6pm and 6am the bus stop on North Parade between Shirley Rd and Averill St will be closed and passengers will need to walk down to the next bus stop after Averill St to get on board a bus.

8 Casebrook to Hoon Hay, 11 Styx Mill, 12 Northwood to Cashmere, 22 Redwood to Spreydon, 29 Airport via Fendalton, 90 and 92 Rangiora – Building demolition will affect all buses travelling towards Casebrook, Styx Mill, Northwood, Redwood, Airport and Rangiora. These buses will detour all the way down Montreal St to Bealey Ave and then continue their normal route until further notice.

8 Casebrook- Hoon Hay, 11 Styx Mill, 12 Northwood, 22 Redwood, 29 Airport via Fendalton, 90 Rangiora and 92 Rangiora – Due to building demolition Dorset St is closed for three days. Buses travelling towards the city will detour by continuing down Victoria St turning right onto Kilmore St then left onto Park Tce to continue their normal route.

3 Airport to Sumner – Due to water main works the bus stop at 7 Main Rd will be moved to 31 Main Rd until Friday 30th March.

28 Lyttelton and Rapaki – From Saturday 17th March onwards the buses will return to their original route and now travel along Martindales Rd and Bridal Path Rd. We are now able to return buses to their normal route because the road sealing underneath the bridge has been completed.

60 Parklands and Orbiter – On the 15th and 16th March the bus stop at 151 Stanmore Rd will be temporarily moved 80 metres down the road to 165 Stanmore Rd. This is so that some trees can be removed from over the footpath.

3 Airport to Sumner – Due to water pipe works from 15th March until approx 20th March the bus stop at 148 Main Rd will move to 158 Main Rd and the bus stop at 63 Main Rd will move to 71 Main Rd temporarily.

7 Queenspark / 46 Marshland and Metrostar – Due to road works the bus stop at the back of the Palms shopping centre is closed. A temporary bus stop has been set up on New Brighton Rd, just after Golf links Rd intersection (1 block up).

7 Queenspark – From Tuesday 13th March buses will return to travelling down Broadhaven Ave to the Queenspark bus terminus outside Broadhaven Reserve.

21 Ilam to Mt Pleasant – From Tuesday 13th March buses will return to travelling down Ti Rakau Dr and Charleworth Street. This now means that this service is now running it’s pre 22 Feb 2011 route.

Buses travelling towards Southshore will detour off Main South Rd onto  Brynley St and Tower St back onto Amyes Rd to continue their normal route. Please note bus stop #24247 will not be in use during this time.

Buses will detour down Larsens Rd to Halswell Rd and reverse in the other direction. Bus stops along Glovers Rd between Larsens Rd and Halswell Rd and stops along Halswell Rd between Glovers Rd and Larsens Rd will not be serviced during this time.

9 Wairakei – Due to demolition works on Gloucester St buses travelling to Central Station will detour from 9 March until 30th March. Buses will detour off Rolleston Ave onto Hereford St and Cambridge Tce then continue their normal route. Bus travelling out of the city will not be affected. A temporary bus stop will be available on Hereford St outside the old Elmo Courts site.

15 Bishopdale to Murray Aynsley – Due to demolition works on Gloucester St buses travelling to Central Station from Bishopdale will detour from 9 March until 30th March. Buses will detour off Rolleston Ave onto Hereford St and Cambridge Tce then continue their normal route. Bus travelling out of the city will not be affected. A temporary bus stop will be available on Hereford St outside the old Elmo Courts site.

29 Airport and Orbiter - Due to road works on Memorial Ave two bus stops will be temporarily relocated from approx 12th March until 17th March. The bus stop outside 110 Memorial Ave will be moved 20 metres down the footpath towards Greers Rd. The bus stop outside 111 Memorial Ave will be moved 20 metres up the footpath towards the city.

Metrostar - Due to road works to replace the culvert on Madras St buses travelling towards Halswell will detour off Edgeware Rd onto Packe St, Cannon St and Bishop St back onto Edgeware Rd until approximately 8th April. Buses travelling towards New Brighton will not be affected.

They will detour off Tuam St onto Montreal St and Bealey Ave where they will turn right onto Papanui Rd and then continue their normal routes. All buses travelling to the city will not be affected. This detour will be in place for approximately 2 weeks.

46 Marshland – From today the Marshland terminus for this service will be relocated from Prestons road less than 100 metres down the road a new dedicated lay-by in the new section of Bluestone Dr off Alpine View Lane. The bus stop at the old terminus will be moved over the next few days.

18 St Albans and Metrostar – Due to sewer works on Springfield Rd from 3rd March the first bus stops either side of Springfield Rd closest to St Albans St will be relocated to approx 50 metres down Springfield Rd for passengers to use.

Orbiter – Due to road works at night on Barrington St the Orbiter will detour between 8 pm and 6 am 25th February – 3rd  March. Buses travelling towards Riccarton will detour off Barrington St onto Neville St, Lyttelton St and Lincoln Rd back onto Whiteleigh Ave to continue their normal route. Buses travelling towards Barrington will detour off Whiteleigh Ave onto Lincoln Rd, Lyttelton St and Neville St back onto Barrington St to continue their normal route. Please note that between 8 pm and 6 am the bus stops either side of Neville St on Barrington St will not be serviced.

#45 North Shore – Due to sewer main repairs these buses will detour in both directions from Monday 27th February until approx 16 March. Buses travelling to the city will detour off Burwood Rd onto Carlsen Street and Lake Terrace Rd then continue their normal route.  Buses travelling to North Shore will detour the same way in the opposite direction. There will be temporary stops in place along Carlsen St and Lake Terrace  Rd just before the Carlsen St intersection.

#512 Avondale & Aranui Link – Due to ongoing road works in Breezes Rd, Eglinton St and Waratah St the shuttle is detouring again. On trips heading to Eastgate Shopping Centre the shuttle will travel from Avondale Rd, turn left into Woolley St and left into Waratah St to continue the normal route. On trips to the Palms Mall the shuttle will detour off Waratah St turning right onto Woolley St and then right onto Avondale Rd where it will continue its normal route. This detour will be until further notice.

#7 Halswell  and Kennedys Bus to Queenspark – Due to sewer repairs in Halswell along Glovers Rd all buses will detour from Wednesday 15th Feb until Monday 20th Feb. Buses will detour down Larsens Rd to Halswell Rd and reverse in the other direction. Bus stops along Glovers Rd between Larsens Rd and Halswell Rd and stops along Halswell Rd between Glovers Rd and Larsens Rd will not be serviced during this time.

Route 3 - From Monday 13 February, buses travelling towards Sumner will now travel via Madras St and Ferry Rd (instead of continuing east along Moorhouse Ave and up Fitzgerald Ave).

The bus stop on Moorhouse Ave outside the back of CPIT and the temporary bus stop outside the Red Bus Depot vehicle entrance will no longer be serviced by this route however the bus stop outside Catholic Cathedral College on Ferry Rd will now be used.

Buses travelling towards Avonhead/the Airport are not affected by this change.

Routes 18 and 21 - Hoyts 8 bus stop – due to the cordon around the Science Alive/Hoyts 8 building being extended, this bus stop has been closed. Passengers should use the bus stop near the corner of Moorhouse Ave and Washington Way instead.

Route 60 - Hoyts 8 terminus – due to the cordon around the Science Alive/Hoyts 8 building being extended, the city terminus for the route 60 service has been relocated. The new terminus location is the bus stop on Madras St outside the Countdown supermarket (opposite CPIT).

The route to and from the new terminus on Madras St is different to route to the Hoyts 8 terminus.

From the Central Station buses now travel via Tuam St, Colombo St, Moorhouse Ave and Madras St to the terminus. Travelling towards Parklands buses will begin on Madras St, then travel via St Asaph St, Montreal St, Oxford Terrace and Lichfield St to the Central Station.

Route 511 - In Avonside, Patten St is closed for roadworks. This service is currently detouring via Woodham Rd, Avonside Dr and Retreat Rd.

Update 3rd February

#18 St Albans to Huntsbury – Due to road works along Claremont Ave buses will detour  in both directions from Tuesday 7th Feb until Thursday 9th Feb.

Buses travelling to the city will detour off Rayburn Ave onto Paparoa St, Bennett St and Tomes Rd back onto Scotston Ave to continue their normal route. Buses travelling to St Albans will detour off Scotston Ave onto Tomes Rd, Bennett St and Paparoa St back onto Rayburn Ave and then continue their normal route.

Bus stops along Tomes Rd will be moved to #32 and 37 Tomes Rd to provide easier access to buses for passengers.

North and Southbound services delayed

Bus services will be subject to major delays coming through the city (especially north and south bound services) as a result of the protest taking place outside the Council Offices on Hereford Street. Montreal Street is closed north of Cashel Street. Therefore all north and south bound buses are using Cashel Street and Rolleston Ave, we apologise for any inconvenience.

Metrostar – From Monday 30th Jan until Wednesday 1st February buses travelling towards Halswell will detour off Keyes Rd onto Dennitt St, Baker St and Bowhill Rd back onto Rockwood Ave to continue its normal route. As the bus stop on Keyes Rd between Dennitt St and Bowhill Rd will not be serviced during this time a temporary stop is available  for passengers to use on Baker St.

#40 Middleton to Wainoni – Due to sewer works on Wainoni Rd between Cuffs Rd and Bickerton St the bus stops at 53 Wainoni Rd and 68 Wainoni Rd will be closed from 30th January until 24th February. Please use the bus stops at 113 and 48 Wainoni Rd during this time.

#5 Hornby to New Brighton and Southshore – Due to sewer works along Pages Rd the bus stops at 73 Pages Rd and opposite 125 Pages Rd will be closed until further notice. Please use the bus stops at 97 and 84 Pages Rd during this time

#9 Burnside, 15 Bishopdale and 29 Airport – These services have now resumed using the normal route via Gloucester St on trips travelling towards Central Station.

#46 Marshland and the Orbiter – Roadworks on Innes Rd have now been completed, so these services are now travelling along Innes Rd again as normal.

Update 20th January

# 3 Airport to Sumner – Buses travelling towards Sumner will detour off Main Rd onto Beachville Rd and Celia St in Redcliffs. This detour is in place 24hrs a day, 7 days a week until Wednesday 1st February. A temporary bus stop has been installed on Beachville Rd.

Also the bus stop outside 188 Main Rd (Redcliffs supermarket) will be closed from Tuesday 31st Jan until Tuesday 14th February. Passengers can use the bus stop at 150 Main Rd during this time.

#40 Middleton to Wainoni – From Saturday 21 January, buses will resume travelling via the normal route along New Brighton Rd and across the Wainoni Rd bridge.

From 4th February 2012 the 10 Airport to Cashmere and 16 Belfast services will no longer operate. To accommodate passengers in these areas some existing services will have new routes and timetables.

Update 13th January

#5 Hornby - From January 16 until February 3, buses travelling towards Southshore will detour off Estuary Rd onto Bridge St, Pine Ave and Sandra St before resuming the normal route. A temporary bus stop will be installed on Pine Ave near the Bridge St intersection.

Buses travelling towards New Brighton/City Centre/Hornby are not affected by this detour.

#511 Avonside & Dallington Link - Roadworks on Gayhurst Rd have resumed again, so this service is detouring via Strathfield Ave, Belfield St and McBratneys Rd in both directions. No bus stops are affected by this detour.

#512 Avondale & Aranui Link- Roadworks in the Avondale area have resumed again. Going towards Eastgate, this service is currently travelling via Avondale Rd, Mervyn Dr, Baladin St, Waratah St and Briarmont St. Going towards The Palms, it is travelling via Briarmont St, Waratah St, Baladin St, Mervyn Rd and Avondale Rd.

Update 9th January

Orbiter - Between 9 Jan until 12 Jan buses travelling towards Northlands will detour in Shirley off Innes Rd onto Manuka St, Westminster St and Kensington Ave back onto Innes Rd to continue their normal route. The bus stop along Innes Rd between Manuka St and Kensington Ave will not be serviced.

#46 Marshland - Buses travelling towards the city will detour from 9 Jan until 12 Jan, buses will detour off Innes Rd onto Manuka St, Westminster St then turn onto Flockton St to continue their normal route. Bus stops along Innes Rd between Manuka St and along Kensington Ave will not be serviced.

#10 Cashmere to Airport, The Comet and Orbiter - From 9 Jan until 28 Jan bus stops at 47 and 93 Harewood Rd will be moved along to 37 and 91 Harewood Rd. Bus stops on the opposite side of the road from 47 and 93 Harewood Rd will also move along towards Papanui Rd approx 50 meters.

#7 Halswell (and Kennedy’s Bush) to Queenspark - Due to damage caused by the 23rd Dec earthquake buses travelling to Queenspark will now terminate on Broadhaven Ave at the stop just before the Inwoods Rd intersection (Anglesea Ave end of Broadhaven Rd) and trips travelling to the city will begin at the first stop on Broadhaven Ave after Inwoods Rd intersection (Anglesea Ave end of Broadhaven Ave). The bus stops opposite Forest Drive will not be used until further notice.

#12 Northwood to Murray Aynsley - From Monday 9 Jan until Friday 20 Jan buses will detour in both directions away from Gamblins rd by continuing down Centaurus Rd to the Albert Tce / Armstrong Ave/ Wilsons Rd round about, turning left and continuing down Centaurus Rd resuming its normal route. Wilsons Rd, St Martins Rd and Gamblins Rd will not be serviced during this time.

Update 24th December

Due to the aftershocks on December 23, the following detours are in place:

• # 7 Queenspark - buses are beginning and ending at the Beach Rd and Bower Ave intersection. There is no service on Queenspark Drive, Broadhaven Ave and Bower Ave north of Beach Rd at this point in time.
• #40 Wainoni - is not travelling along New Brighton Rd and is detouring via Anzac Drive and Pages Rd instead.
• Southbound Northern Star services are detouring in Kaiapoi off Williams St via Sewell St, Jones St and Charles St. Northbound services are unaffected.

Update 23rd December

#5 Southshore - Estuary Rd has now reopened between Bridge St and Sandra St, so buses are now travelling via their usual route through this area.

#3 Airport to Sumner – Wakefield Ave has now reopened between Duncan St and Paisley St, so buses are now travelling via their usual route through this area.

#511 Avonside & Dallington Link – The road works on Gayhurst Rd have now finished, so this service is now travelling via its normal route.

#512 Avondale & Aranui Link – The roadworks in Avondale and Aranui have now finished for the Christmas break, so this service is currently travelling via its normal route.

Update 19th December

Orbiter – From 23rd Nov until 20th January 2012 the Orbiter will detour away from Gamblins Rd in both directions due to road works. Buses travelling towards Barrington will detour by continuing down Wilsons Rd and turning onto right Centaurus Rd to then continue their normal route. Buses travelling towards Eastgate will detour by turning right onto Centaurus Rd and turn left onto Wilsons Rd to then continue their normal route. Bus stops along Gamblins Rd will not be serviced during this time.

#12 Northwood to Murray Aynsley – Due to road works this service will detour away from Gamblins Rd from 23rd Nov until Sunday 8th January 2012. Buses travelling towards Murray Aynsley terminal will continue left at the round about along St Martins Rd and then turn right onto Wilsons Rd to continue its normal route. Buses travelling towards the city will detour by continuing along Wilsons Rd turning left onto St Martins Rd then continue their normal route. Bus stops along Gamblins Rd will not be serviced during this time.

From Monday 9th Jan until 20th Jan 2012 buses will use Centaurus Rd only, in both directions. St Martins Rd, Gamblins Rd and Wilsons Rd will NOT be serviced during this time.

Update 16th December 2011

From Monday 19 December, buses travelling towards Central Station from Papanui Rd and Cranford St (routes 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22, 90 and 92) will travel along Hereford St between Rolleston Ave and Cambridge Terrace rather than Cashel St. There are currently no bus stops on Cashel St, but there will now be stops on Hereford St near the Montreal St intersection and on Cambridge Terrace near the Bridge of Remembrance.

#40 Middleton to Wainoni – this service will detour between 8.00pm and 6.00am from Sunday 18 Dec until Thursday 22 Dec while road works continue on the Southern Motorway Bypass over bridge. From 8.00pm daily buses travelling towards the city will detour through the Birmingham Dr roundabout on to Matipo St, then onto Princess St turning right onto Whiteleigh Ave and then into Troup Dr (Tower Junction) where they will continue their normal route. Buses travelling towards Upper Riccarton will detour off Troup Dr (Tower Junction) turning right into Whiteleigh Ave, Princess St and Matipo St then continue straight through the roundabout onto  Birmingham Dr where they will continue their normal route. Please note bus stops along Wrights Rd, Lincoln Rd and Whiteleigh Ave will NOT be serviced during 8.00pm – 6.00am.

#40 Middleton to Wainoni – buses travelling towards the city/Middleton are not travelling over the Wainoni Rd bridge until December 29. Instead buses are continuing straight along New Brighton Rd, left into Anzac Dr, right into Wainoni Rd and then resuming the normal route. No bus stops are affected by this detour.

Buses travelling towards New Brighton are not affected and will continue to use the normal route via the Wainoni Rd bridge.

#45 North Shore – buses travelling towards the city are detouring away from the Burwood Rd, turning right into Carlsen St, right into Lake Terrace Rd and then resuming the normal route. This detour will be in place for approximately 1 week. The bus stop in Lake Terrace Rd between Burwood Rd and Carlsen St will be closed, and there will be a temporary bus stop installed in Carlsen St.

Buses travelling towards North Shore are not affected and will continue to use the normal route.

#3 Airport to Sumner – On Wednesday 30 November between 7am and 8pm there will be a detour in Redcliffs for all traffic travelling along Main Rd towards Sumner.

During this time buses travelling towards Sumner will detour off Main Rd via Beachville Rd and Celia St. The bus stop outside Redcliffs Park will be closed, and a temporary bus stop will be in place on Beachville Rd.

Buses travelling towards the City Centre will not be affected.

Metrostar – The Metrostar detour off Edgeware Rd has changed for buses travelling towards Halswell.

Buses travelling towards Halswell (west) will now detour off Edgeware Rd via Packe St, Canon St and Madras St. Buses travelling towards New Brighton (east) will continue to detour off Edgeware Rd via Madras St, Edward Ave and Allard St.

No bus stops are affected by this detour.

#7 Halswell to Queenspark - Due to ongoing road works around the pump station on Bower Ave all trips travelling to the City from Queenspark will detour off Bower Ave onto Sylvia St, Badger St and Beach Rd back onto Bower Ave until further notice. Trips travelling towards Queenspark will not be affected.

#84 Russley and Comet - Due to road works on Russley Rd the Comet and 84 Russley bus services will detour from the 21st Nov for approximately 2 weeks. Comet services travelling towards Northlands and 84 Russley services travelling towards the Central Station will both detour off Russley Rd onto Yaldhurst Rd then turn left into Fovant St and right into Bentley St where they will resume their normal route. Bus stops between Russley Rd/ Yaldhurst Rd intersection and Bently St/Fovant St corner will not be serviced. A temporary bus stop is available along Fovant St. Services travelling in the other direction (towards Hornby) will not be affected.

#3 Airport- Sumner, 10 Airport to Cashmere, 29 Airport to City and the Comet - Due to road works closing parts of Orchard Rd between 10pm and 5am from Sunday 20 Nov until Tuesday 22 Nov all bus services from the Airport and the Comet will detour. To board these services travelling to the city or Papanui please board at the following stops during these times,

After 10 pm only:

• The Comet – board at the International Antarctic Centre on Orchard Rd,
• 3,10 or 29 Please board at the Airport terminal stop (located outside International Arrivals).

# 3 Sumner - Roadworks on Head St in Sumner has now been completed, which means that buses are now travelling the usual route along Nayland St, Head St and Colenso St again.

# 5 Hornby - Estuary Rd is now open the whole way between Rodney St and Bridge St, so all detours north of Bridge St have now been removed. The following detours remain in place south of Bridge St:

• Buses travelling towards Southshore detour off Estuary Rd onto Bridge St, Pine Ave and Sandra St and then back on to Estuary Rd. Temporary bus stops are in place on Bridge St and Pine Ave (between Beatty St and Sandra St).
• Buses travelling towards the city/Hornby will detour off Estuary Rd onto Sandra St, Pine Ave and Bridge St and then back on to Estuary Rd. A temporary bus stop is in place on Pine Ave (between Beatty St and Bridge St).

#15 Bishopdale to Beckenham - Until further notice at the Beckenham end of this route buses will begin and end on Birdwood Ave (at the stop just north of Riverview St). The southernmost stops on Birdwood Ave and stops on Centaurus Rd will not be served.

Queenspark Drive will be closed to westbound traffic between Cottonwood St and Inwoods Rd from Wednesday 26 October to Wednesday 9 November. During this period buses travelling towards Queenspark will detour via Cottonwood St, Tapiri St, Mairehau Rd and Inwoods Rd. Buses travelling towards Halswell will not be affected.

Update 17th October 2011

#3 Sumner to Airport - Buses travelling in and out of Sumner will detour until 16th December. Buses travelling into Sumner will turn off Nayland St onto Menzies St and back onto Arnold St then continue their normal route. Buses travelling to the city will detour off Arnold St onto Menzies St back onto Nayland St then continue their normal route. Bus stops along Head St and on Nayland St between Head St and Menzies St will not be serviced and temporary bus stops are in place along Menzies St.

#20 Burnside to Barrington - trips travelling to Burnside will detour off Guildford St onto Heath St, Wayside St and Grahams Rd back onto Cranbrook St to continue it's normal route. Trips travelling to the city will detour from Cranbrook St turning left onto Grahams Rd, Wayside Ave and Heath St back onto Guildford St to continue it's normal route. Bus stops on Guildford St between Grahams Rd and Heath St will not be serviced.

#8 Casebrook and #11 Styx Mill - From Sunday 16 October to Tuesday 18 October Northcote Rd will be closed for eastbound traffic between Cavendish Rd and Fenchurch St from 6pm to 6am the following morning. Because of this closure buses travelling towards Bealey Ave will detour off Cavendish Rd onto Tuckers Rd and Fenchurch St before resuming the normal route on Northcote Rd. When this detour is in place the bus stops on Cavendish Rd (near Northcote Rd) and on Northcote Rd (near Uxbridge St) will not be served. Please note that this detour only affects trips that are travelling towards the city (Bealey Ave), and trips heading out from the city will operate as usual.

Update 6th October 2011

New Rolleston bus terminus - From Monday 10th October 2011 the Metro bus terminus in Rolleston will move from its current location on Brookside Road to the new bus shelter on Kidman Street.

This move applies to both the 88 Rolleston service and the 820 Burnham – Lincoln service. The timetables for both services will NOT be affected.

Passengers who used the Brookside Rd location to board their bus will be able to use a new set of bus stops located in nearby Byron Street. Those passengers who transfer between the 88 and 820 services will do so at the new Kidman Street terminus, where the buses will meet.

The route to the new terminus from Brookside Rd will be via Byron Street and into Kidman Street. When departing the new terminus buses will drive around the Selwyn District Council offices via Rolleston Drive and Norman Kirk Drive returning back to Kidman Street.

#3 Airport to Sumner - Due to roadworks at the Roydvale Ave/Memorial Ave intersection, the 3 Airport via Avonhead service will be detouring between the hours of 6pm and 7am on Sunday 9 October and Monday 10 October.

Travelling towards Airport, buses will detour from Avonhead Mall to Wairakei Rd, travelling via Merrin St, Grahams Rd and Wairakei Rd.

Travelling towards Sumner, buses will detour from Wairakei Rd to Avonhead Mall, travelling via Grahams Rd and Merrin St.

During the period of the detour, bus stops on Withells Rd (between Merrin St and Avonhead Rd) and on Roydvale Ave will not be served.

Update 30th September 2011

14 Harewood and 16 Belfast - Due to road works on the intersection of Colombo St and Bealey Ave these buses will detour from Saturday 1st Oct (8.00am) until Monday 3rd Oct (6.00am). Buses travelling towards Harewood and Belfast will detour off Colombo St left onto Bealey Ave, Durham St, Eversleigh St, Caledonian St and Purchas St back onto Colombo St and then continue its normal route. A temporary bus stop will be located on Purchas St for passengers travelling towards Harewood and Belfast.

Buses travelling towards the Bealey Ave temporary exchange will detour off Colombo St onto Purchas St and Sherborne St back onto Bealey Ave. No temporary bus stops will be available for passengers travelling in this direction.
