All detours and updates

On Tuesday 26th November for 1 day there will be road works on Guildford St that will require the Route 120 service to detour from its usual route between 8am to 6pm. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Burnside will follow the normal route along Greers Rd before continuing on Greers Rd, turn right on to Memorial Ave, right Grahams Rd and left on to Cranbook Ave to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Spreydon will follow the normal route along Grahams Rd, continue on Grahams Rd, turn left on to Memorial Ave, left on to Greers Rd and right on to Clyde Rd to resume the normal route.

From Monday 25th November for 4 nights there will be road works on Antigua St that will require the Route 120 service to detour from its usual route between the hours of 8pm to 6pm. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Burnside will follow the normal route to Brougham St, continue on Brougham St, turn left on to Montreal St, left on to Disraeli St and continue on Disraeli St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Spreydon will follow the normal route along Disraeli St, continue on Disraeli St, turn right on to Montreal St, right on to Brougham St and continue on Brougham St to resume the normal route.

From Monday 9th September 2024, there will be long-term road works on Clyde Road that will require the Route 120 service to detour from its usual route for about a year (until at least September 2025).   

Buses travelling southbound towards Spreydon will follow the normal route along Clyde Rd before turning right on to Creyke Rd, left on to Ilam Rd, left on to Riccarton Rd before continuing to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Burnside will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 25th November for 16 days there will be road works on Stanmore Rd that will require the Orbiter clockwise service to detour from its usual route. 

Buses travelling clockwise will follow the normal route to Avonside Dr before continuing on Avonside Dr, turn right on to Fitzgerald Ave, continue on Whitmore St, right on to North Avon Rd and continue on North Avon Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling Anticlockwise will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 25th November for 16 days there will be road works on Stanmore Rd that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will follow the normal route to Stanmore Rd before turning left on to Avonside Dr, right on to Fitzgerald Ave, continue on to Whitmore St, right on to North Avon Rd and continue on North Avon Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton & Wigram will not be imapcted by these works.

From Friday 22nd November for 4 weeks there will be road works on Hereford St that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along Hereford St, turn right on to Latimer Square, left on to Gloucester St, left on to Latimer Square and right on to Hereford St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will not be impacted by these works.

From Wednesday 20th November there will be road works on Athelstan St that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will follow the normal route along Frankleigh St and continue on Milton St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 18th November there will be a road layout change on Hendersons Rd and Halswell Rd that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route. Hendersons Rd will now be a left in/left out layout and this is a permanent change. Please refer to the NZTA notice to learn more. 

[UPDATED 22/11] Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along Hendersons Rd before turning left on to Manarola Rd, take the third exit at the third exit at the roundabout on to Monsaraz Blvd and continue straight on to Augustine Dr to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will follow the normal route along SH 75 Hlaswell Rd before turning right on to Monsaraz Blvd, take the first exit at the roundabout on to Manarola Rd and right on to Hendersons Rd to resume the normal route.

Temporary stops will soon be replaced with permanent stops. 

From Monday 13th May there will be road works on Aidanfield Drive that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along SH75/Halswell Rd before turning right on to Augustine Dr, left on to Euphrasie Dr and take the third exit at the roundabout on to Aidanfield Dr to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will no longer be affected.

From 6am Monday 25th November for 14 days there will be road works on Barbadoes St that will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route. 

Buses travelling northbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route to Edgeware Rd, turn left on to Madras St, continue on Forfar St and turn right on to Warrington St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Halswell will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 9th September 2024, there will be long-term road works in Ilam that will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route for about a year (until at least September 2025).   

Buses travelling westbound towards Wigram will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning right onto Clyde Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Clyde Rd, Creyke Rd, and Ilam Rd. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning left onto Ilam Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Ilam Rd, Creyke Rd, and Clyde Rd.

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley & Dallington will follow the normal route to Barbadoes St, turn left to Edgeware Rd, right on to Madras St, continue on Forfar St and turn right on to Warrington St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 18th November there will be road works on Hercules St that will require the Route 135 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling northbound towards New Brighton will follow the normal route along Hercules St before turning right on to Hope St, left on to Shirley Rd, left on to Marshland Rd and continue on Marshland Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards The Palms will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 9th September 2024, there will be long-term road works on Creyke Road that will require the Route 130 service to detour from its usual route for about a year (until at least September 2025).   

Buses travelling westbound towards Hei Hei will follow the normal route along Maidstone Rd before turning left on to Ilam Rd, right on to Memorial Ave and left on to Kotare St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Avonhead will not be impacted by this detour.

From Wednesday 7th August there will be road works on Langdons Rd that will require the 791 School service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Morning trips travelling towards Burnside High School will follow the normal route along Langdons Rd before turning left on to Chapel St, right on to Harewood Rd and left on to Greers Rd to resume the normal route. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards Te Korari St will follow the normal route along Greers Rd before turning right on to Harewood Rd, left on to Chapel St and right on to Langdons Rd to resume the normal route.

There will be several closed and temporary bus stops along Halswell Rd due to the road improvements currently underway and estimated to take two and a half years. These will impact Route 7 passengers as well as some other routes that use Halswell Rd.

Please take note of the signs installed by contractors at the closed stops, directing you to the nearest stop/temporarily placed stop. 

Please safely signal to your bus when it approaches, especially if visibility is restricted. We apologise for any inconvenience.

From Monday 13th May there will be road works on Aidanfield Drive that will require the School Route 751 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards Halswell will follow the normal route along SH75/Halswell Rd before turning right on to Augustine Dr, left on to Euphrasie Dr and take the third exit at the roundabout on to Aidanfield Dr to resume the normal route. 

Morning trips travelling towards Hillmorton High School will no longer be affected.
