All detours and updates

From Tuesday 25th March for 2 nights there will be road works on Main North Rd requiring the Route 1 service to detour from its usual route from 9:00pm until 6:00am.  

Buses travelling northbound towards Northlands will follow the normal route to Papanui Rd, turn left on to Harewood Rd, right on to Chapel St, right on to Langdons Rd, left onto Main North Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses traveling southbound towards the Bus Interchange will not be impacted by these works.

From Sunday 23rd March for 2 nights there will be road works on Main North Rd requiring the Route 1 service to detour from its usual route from 8pm until the last bus on Sunday and 9pm until the last bus on Monday. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Papanui Rd will follow the normal route along Main North Rd, turn right on to Sawers Arms Rd, left on to Sisson Dr, take the 1st exit on to Langdons Rd, right on to Main North Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses traveling northbound towards Cranford St will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 24th March for 3 days there will be road works on Russley Rd requiring the Route 140 service to detour from its usual route between 7:00am until 4:00pm. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Russley will follow the normal route to Bentley St, turn left on to Fovant St, right on to Yaldhurst Rd, left on to Masham Rd, to resume the normal route.  

Buses traveling eastbound towards Mt Pleasant will follow the normal route to Russley Rd, turn right on to Yaldhurst Rd, left on Fovant St, right on Bentley St to resume the normal route.

From Monday 24th March for 3 days there will be road works on Russley Rd requiring the Route 125 service to detour from its usual route between 7:00am until 4:00pm. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Westlake will follow the normal route to Bentley St, turn left on to Fovant St, right on to Yaldhurst Rd, left on to Masham Rd, to resume the normal route.  

Buses traveling northbound towards Redwood will follow the normal route to Russley Rd, turn right on to Yaldhurst Rd, left on Fovant St, right on Bentley St to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 11th March for 18 days there will be road works at the Burwood/Mairehau roundabout that will require the Route 791 school service to detour from its usual route. 

Morning trips towards City Schools will follow the normal route to Mairehau Road before turning right on to Putake Dr, take the first exit at the roundabout on to Rothesay Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout on to Pohutakawa Cres and turn right on to Burwood Rd to resume the normal route. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards Queenspark will not be impacted by these works.

From Tuesday 11th March for 18 days there will be road works at the Burwood/Mairehau roundabout that will require the Route 669 school service to detour from its usual route.

Morning trips travelling towards AGHS & SBHS will not be impacted by these works. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards Queenspark will follow the normal route along Rothesay Rd, continue straight on Rothesay Rd and turn right on to Burwood Rd to resume the normal route

From Tuesday 11th March there will be watermain trenching works at the Burwood/Mairehau roundabout that will require the Route 135 service to detour from its usual route for 18 days. 

Buses travelling westbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route to Mairehau Road before turning right on to Putake Drive, taking the first exit on to Rothesay Road, second exit on Pohutukawa Crescent roundabout, turning left on to Burwood Road, left on to Burwood Hospital Main Entry, and right on to Burwood Road to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards New Brighton will not be impacted by these works.

[UPDATE 18/03: Works postponed] From Friday 21st March there will be intersection upgrades around Masefield Dr that will require the Route 5 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Rolleston will follow the normal route along Rolleston Drive before veering right to continue on Rolleston Dr to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards New Brighton will follow the normal route along Rolleston Dr before veering left to continue on Rolleston Dr to resume the normal route.

From Monday 3rd March there will be road works on Hereford St that will require the Route 742 school service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Morning trips travelling towards City/Merivale Schools will follow the normal route along Hereford St, turn right on to Fitzgerald Ave, left on to Gloucester St, left on to Latimer Square West and right on to Hereford St to resume the normal route. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards McCormacks Bay will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 3rd March there will be road works on Hereford St that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along Hereford St, turn right on to Fitzgerald Ave, left on to Gloucester St, left on to Latimer Square West and right on to Hereford St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will not be impacted by these works.

From Saturday 1st February there will be road works on Wairakei Rd that will require the Route 8 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will follow the normal route along Wairakei Rd, turn right on to Blighs Rd, veer left to stay on Blighs Rd, turn left on to Condell Rd, left on to Greers Rd, veer left to stay on Greers Rd and turn right on to Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will not be impacted by these works.

From Wednesday 29th January there will be road works on Lincoln Rolleston Rd that will require the School route 672, 673 and 674 services to detour from their usual routes until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards City schools will follow the normal route along Springston Rolleston Rd, turn right on to Taita Dr, right on to Branthwaite Dr, left on to Lincoln Rolleston Rd, left on to Reuben Ave, right on to Branthwaite Dr, right on to Taita Dr, right on to Springston Rolleston Rd, take the second exit at the Broadlands Dr roundabout and second exit at the Lowes Rd roundabout to resume the normal route. 

Afternoon trips travelling towards Rolleston will follow the normal route along Tennyson St before taking the second exit at the Lowes Rd roundabout, second exit at the Broadlands Dr roundabout, turn left on to Taita Dr, left on to Branthwaite Dr, right on to Reuben Ave, right on to Lincoln Rolleston Rd, right on to Branthwaite Dr, left on to Taita Dr and left on to Springston Rolleston Rd to resume the normal route.
