From Tuesday 21st January for 2 nights there will be road works on Roydvale Ave that will require the Route 125 service to detour from its usual route from 9pm until last bus.
Buses travelling northbound towards Redwood will follow the normal route along Withells Rd, take the third exit at the roundabout on to Merrin St, take the second exit at the roundabout on to Grahams Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Grahams Rd and turn left on to Memorial Ave to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling southbound towards Westlake will follow the normal route along Memorial Ave, continue on Memorial Ave, turn right on to Grahams Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Grahams Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout on to Merrin St and take the first exit at the roundabout on to Withells Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling eastbound towards Sumner will follow the normal route along Memorial Ave, continue on Memorial Ave, turn right on to Grahams Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Grahams Rd, take the second exit at the roundabout on to Merrin St and take the first exit at the roundabout on to Withells Rd to resume the normal route.

From Monday 20th January for 3 days there will be a second stage of road works on Halswell Junction Rd that will require the Route 7 service to detour from its usual route between 9am to 8pm.
Buses travelling westbound towards Halswell will follow the normal route along Alvaston Dr, take the second exit at the roundabout on to Hamill Rd, turn left on to Graycliffe St and right on to Murphys Rd to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling eastbound towards Queenspark will follow the normal route along Murphys Rd, turn left on to Graycliffe St, right on to Hamill Rd and take the second exit at the roundabout on to Alvaston Dr to resume the normal route.

Until further notice
There will be several closed and temporary bus stops along Halswell Rd due to the road improvements currently underway and estimated to take two and a half years. These will impact Route 7 passengers as well as some other routes that use Halswell Rd.
Please take note of the signs installed by contractors at the closed stops, directing you to the nearest stop/temporarily placed stop.
Please safely signal to your bus when it approaches, especially if visibility is restricted. We apologise for any inconvenience.

From Monday 20th January for 2 nights there will be road works on Heaton St that will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route between 6pm to 6am.
Buses travelling eastbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route along Glandovey Rd, turn left on to Strowan Rd, right on to Normans Rd and right on to Papanui Rd to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling westbound towards Wigram will not be impacted by these works.

Until further notice
From Monday 9th September 2024, there will be long-term road works in Ilam that will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route for about a year (until at least September 2025).
Buses travelling westbound towards Wigram will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning right onto Clyde Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Clyde Rd, Creyke Rd, and Ilam Rd.
Buses travelling eastbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning left onto Ilam Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Ilam Rd, Creyke Rd, and Clyde Rd.

From Monday 13th January for 15 days there will be road works on Wairakei Rd that will require the Route 8 service to detour from its usual route.
Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will follow the normal route along Wairakei Rd, turn right on to Blighs Rd, veer left to stay on Blighs Rd, turn left on to Condell Rd, left on to Greers Rd, veer left to stay on Greers Rd and turn right on to Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will follow the normal route along Wairakei Rd, turn left on to Greers Rd, veer right to stay on Greers Rd, turn right on to Condell Ave, right on to Blighs Rd, veer right to stay on Blighs Rd and turn left on to Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route

From Monday 18th November there will be a road layout change on Hendersons Rd and Halswell Rd that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route. Hendersons Rd will now be a left in/left out layout and this is a permanent change. Please refer to the NZTA notice to learn more (PDF file, 384 KB).
[UPDATED 22/11] Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along Hendersons Rd before turning left on to Manarola Rd, take the third exit at the roundabout on to Monsaraz Blvd and continue straight on to Augustine Dr to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will follow the normal route along SH 75 Halswell Rd before turning right on to Monsaraz Blvd, take the first exit at the roundabout on to Manarola Rd and right on to Hendersons Rd to resume the normal route.

From Monday 13th May there will be road works on Aidanfield Drive that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.
Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will follow the normal route along SH75/Halswell Rd before turning right on to Augustine Dr, left on to Euphrasie Dr and take the third exit at the roundabout on to Aidanfield Dr to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will no longer be affected.

Buses travelling westbound towards Hei Hei will follow the normal route along Maidstone Rd before turning left on to Ilam Rd, right on to Memorial Ave and left on to Kotare St to resume the normal route.
Buses travelling eastbound towards Avonhead will not be impacted by this detour.
